THE STABLES, Montgomery Street Lane

A landmark for social business in Scotland, Montgomery Street Lane is in Edinburgh’s conservation area and branches off from Edinburgh’s famous Leith Walk. Our cobbled lane is rich in history, experience and future vision. From their origins as stables, our seven rooms spread across two buildings and two floors, vary in size and offer spaces for permanent offices, flexible desk use and meeting rooms for our Core Members and Partner Members. 

THE BAKERY, Brunswick Street Lane

A former bakery, we have created an inspiring, flexible event and meeting space for anyone wanting to connect and collaborate. Positioned in Edinburgh’s conservation area at the end of a quiet cobbled lane, the three rooms (The Baking Room, The Granary, & the Proving Room) provide a bright space for large theatre style presentations, to interactive team meetings, including a white wall and blackboard to illustrate inspirational ideas.

FACILITIES

IN EVERY SPACE:
Reliable broadband, Wifi, Flipcharts and Pens, Large Screen, Kitchen access, and toilet access.

CATERING:
Each of our buildings is equipped with well-maintained kitchen areas for members to use throughout the day. All kitchens include access to tea, coffee, and milk as standard. You’re welcome to bring your own food or arrange external catering, we simply ask that you treat the space as you would your own, leaving it clean and tidy for others to enjoy. If you’re looking for catering suggestions, our team is happy to recommend trusted local cafes, food stores, and suppliers who can deliver directly to our lanes.

PRINTING:
Moderate use of our printer and paper is included.

DOG-FRIENDLY:
Well-socialised, friendly dogs are welcome!

ACCESSIBILITY:
Our buildings are located at the end of quiet, cobbled lanes that offer a peaceful and tucked-away feel. While parking is limited, drop-offs and pick-ups are possible. Wheelchair users can access all ground-floor meeting and event spaces via wide doorways. Unfortunately, our first-floor spaces currently do not have step-free access. If you’re unsure whether a space is right for you or your guests, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’ll do everything we can to help.

WORK SPACES:
Office desks with chairs, screens, keyboards, printing access, and meeting rooms of all sizes at The Stables, 5–7 Montgomery Street Lane.*

EVENT SPACES:
Host workshops, networking sessions, or team gatherings at The Bakery, Brunswick Street Lane (15–100 people).**

*All 10 spaces are available for members’ use. Core Members book desks and rooms via the online booking system. Partner Members book by contacting hello@myedinburgh.org and pay per use of space.
