Who can become a member?
Anyone passionate about collaboration and impact—freelancers, entrepreneurs, businesses, and charities.
Do I need to use one of the physical workspaces to join?
No! We offer online community memberships too.
What size are our meeting rooms?
Our rooms range from small meeting spaces for 6 people to larger event spaces that accommodate up to 100 people. You can find full details and photos on the Space Gallery.
What makes MyEdinburgh different?
On a cost-neutral basis, we combine flexible spaces, mentoring, and partnership opportunities to create real impact.
Can I speak to someone about membership?
Yes! We encourage you to contact the team via our contact page. We’d be happy to answer any questions and arrange a time to meet in person and show you around.
What does membership include?
Membership includes access to our online community, use of all 10 meeting and event spaces (Core Members free; Partner Members at room rate) and invitations to collaborative events throughout the year.
Do I have to commit to a long-term membership?
Not at all! Our membership packages are flexible and can be tailored to your needs – whether you’re joining as an individual or part of an organisation, our Core Members are charged on a monthly basis, and Partner Members on an annual basis for membership costs and monthly for hired spaces.
Can I change from a Partner Member to Core Member?
Absolutely! If you’re looking for a more permanent desk space or daily access to facilities, we’ll guide you through the simple transition, and review refunding part of your annual Partner Membership fee.
Is MyEdinburgh just for charities or social enterprises?
No! We’re proudly cross-sector. Whether you’re a freelancer, a small business, a creative, or a charity, if you’re committed to making Edinburgh thrive, there’s a place for you here.
Do Members get discounted room hire?
Our room rates are competitively priced. Core Members have free use of all 10 spaces; Partner Members have access to all 10 spaces and pay per use of space. Non-members can only book spaces at the Bakery. Check Spaces for prices (per hour/half-day/full day).
Can non-members book rooms?
The Bakery is now available as an external venue for bookings (Monday to Sunday) for non-members. However, a Member will get priority booking over other enquiries.
Is MyEdinburgh wheelchair accessible?
Yes! Our ground-floor spaces are accessible via wide doorways. While upper floors don’t have step-free access, drop-offs and pick-ups are welcome on the cobbled lanes. If you have specific needs, just get in touch – we’re here to help.
