The Royal Company of Merchants of the City of Edinburgh is a charitable organisation for business and professional people dedicated to using their business skills to help others. Nowadays usually known as The Merchant Company, it has been enriching the life of Scotland’s capital for more than 300 years.

In 2023, they developed the MyEdinburgh mentoring programme. To date the programme has supported over 30 businesses, charities and social enterprises, helping them develop strong business models, refine strategies, and grow sustainably.

CHALLENGES WORLDWIDE

Challenges Worldwide delivers projects and offers support to enterprises so their full potential can be realised, allowing them to deliver impact on global challenges. Founded in 1999, Challenges Worldwide has supported over 5,000 enterprises to grow their positive social and environmental impact. Through their programmes and initiatives, they have supported over 10,000 people to gain experience, confidence, and ultimately decent work through practical programmes that connect them to employers, industry and entrepreneurship.

They bring their facilities and management skills to the collaboration, including their community spaces which are now run under the MyEdinburgh banner.
